Default header footer view not loading

See http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/WhiteSpace.htm for further
explanation. In Word 2007, at least in part due to input from Word MVPs, the
single click required to toggle the view has been changed to a double click.

I just wanted to thank you for your post here. I had the same problem, and
I've been hunting off-and-on for several days trying to find a solution.
Your suggestion works. I agree with Stephen, though, most people would
not
have looked for the solution with that checkmark.

Thank you again.

Terry

Hi Stephen-

First thing to check:

ToolsOptions--View, make sure there is a check in the box for 'White
space
between pages'. If that doesn't fix it, post back.

Word 2003
Very recently Word started without showing the header and footer in
page
layout view. I have to do it manually - View/headerand footer. When I
open
New/Blank document it is the same. However opening Normal.dot displays
H & F
as it used to be.
