Default Search/replace across 150 documents

Hi Ray,

We recommend a tool called WordPipe Search/Replace for Word -http://www.datamystic.com/wordpipe

It allows you to replace images etc, and you can also make multiple changes at the same time, like both logos and phone number and address changes in one hit.

From their FAQ, here is the process for updating a logo:

1. First, drag and drop your file(s) into WordPipe, so it knows which files to modify.
2. Now, assuming your image is in the Header, check the 'Header' search location only, and then it will only replace an image found in the header.
3. Use a 'Normal' replace
4. Set the search text to
^g
Literally, Shift-6, g (this means 'match an image/graphic')

5. Set the replacement text to
^c
Literally, Shift-6, c ('^c' means 'the clipboard contents')

7. Prior to replacing, copy the replacement image to the Windows clipboard (First put your new image into a Microsoft Word document, then select it, and click Edit Menu\Copy. That saves it to the clipboard)
8. Then start the Replace job.

Regards,

Simon

Hi,

I have a set of documents that I need to update the logo in the header, and also update the company phone numbers and address. Is there an easy Word tool that I can use?

Doing it in MS Word will be VERY tedious!

Thanks,

Ray
