Default deleting ^p before and after table

Note, however, that sometimes Ctrl+Shift+H seems not to work for paragraph
marks, even when they are displayed and explicitly selected and formatted
using that shortcut.

How do I format a ^p as hidden?
I searched help and all I get is adding or removing the formatting
markups.

Select the paragraph mark, then in the menu, "Format Font", check
"Hidden".

Once you learn to love hidden text and its uses, you'll likely use the
keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+H.
