Default section page break adds a blank page to document

You may have to format the paragraph mark where the section break is
placed to have font size: 1 pt, line spacing: exactly 1 pt, and no
spacing before or after. To display paragraph marks (¶), press the ¶
button on the Standard toolbar. For more, see
http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/BlankPage.htm.

Thanks for your reply Dan, but I did insert 'next page' section

break! I have
deleted them and done them again and still get the blank pages.

Maybe there
is some 'hidden' formatting going on that I can't see or know about!

You've inserted either Even or Odd page breaks.

Delete them and use a *next page* section break.

I'm editing a document that I've 'inherited'. I need to put a

unique
revision
number on each page footer. I've done this by adding section

breaks to
each
page and turning off 'Link to previous' on the footer, therefore

allowing
me
to give each page a unique number - HOWEVER for some section

breaks added,
a
blank page has also been added - which cannot be seen unless you

preview
page
or print the document. I cannot take out these blank pages can

somebody
please help!
I've checked that there wasn't already a page/section break in

the
document.
This has not happed to all section breaks I've added either
Thanks in advance for any help..
