Default how set "new" to default to "blank document"?

Unless both the toolbar button and the keyboard shortcut have been
reassigned from FileNewDefault to FileNew (I've got my button assigned to
FileNewDialog).

Don't select New from the File Menu - use the New Document icon on the
Standard Toolbar (first button, looks like a white dog-eared page) or use
the keystroke Ctrl+N
