Thanks for your response. How can I save the template as HTML, i.e., can I
make a HTML template and save is as HTML, and not as a Word document? If so,
how?

File/SaveAs and choose "HTML" or "Webpage" from the File type list.

I'm still not sure I'm answering your problem, though.
