Default Incase should be removed from spell check or changed in thesaurus

You're correct that the entry in the thesaurus is wrong. The dictionary
entry in Word (from the Encarta dictionary) correctly says "see encase".

There is zero chance of the thesaurus being updated for any version of Word
that's already released -- as far as I know, nothing in the dictionary or
thesaurus has ever been changed after release unless it would have
engendered a lawsuit. I'll make a note to check this in the Office 2007 Beta
2 release, which should be available shortly.

While we're waiting for that, if you never use "incase" as a variant of
"encase", you can add "incase" to an exception dictionary. See
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/General/Ex...ordFromDic.htm.

According to MS Word "incase", means "for fear that" or "lest". If
you use the thesaurus to check "for fear that" or "lest" it gives the
option of "in case". (please note the space) According to
Merriam-Webster the definition of Incase is "in·case variant of
ENCASE" "Encase pronunciation: in-'kAs, en- Function: transitive
verb: to enclose in or as if in a case" This error is in all MS
apps. Any chance this can get fixed?
