Default How can I change a fraction in Word to a vertical format?

Right. I was overlooking that annoying "feature" of the EQ field.

Darn it, still didn't get it right... { EQ \f (n,4)}

Thanks, Suzanne... yeah, that's what I meant, except that I would leave
out the trailing space before the closing brace...

{ EQ /f (n,4)}

otherwise the space gets included in the fraction.

What garfield-n-odie meant to write was an { EQ \f (n,4) } field. For
more,
see Word's Help under "Field codes: Eq (Equation) field," specifically
the
\f (fraction) switch.
