I have tried this without success. I have also
reinstalled MS Office likewise without success.

You have tried what? What this message means is that you should search
Word's Help for information on how to enable macros. Had you done so, you
would have learned that you need to set your macro security (Tools | Macro |
Security) to Medium. You will then get a message allowing you to enable the
macros and perhaps trust the author. Moreover, if you, on the Trusted
Sources tab of the above dialog, check the box to "Trust all installed
templates and add-ins," the macros in most add-ins will be enabled.

FWIW, reinstalling Word rarely solves problems.

I recently installed MS Office Student and Teacher Ed 2003. It works fine
but for some reason the macros have been disabled. When I open or close

word
I get a message indicating "The macros in this project are disabled.

Please
refer to online help or documentation of the host application to determine
how to enable macors. I have tried this without success. I have also
reinstalled MS Office likewise without success. Can anyone help me

eliminate
this annoying problem?
