You need to make sure that the (to be sure) first record in your data source
contains more than 255 characters as otherwise, field may not be recognised
as being of the type that does contain more than that number of characters.

The field type is determined by consideration of the first half dozen or so
records, but to be sure, it is best to make sure that the first one is such
that the correct type will be taken into account.
