I just tried it and no problems crating a header doc. Templete
File, New, On my computer, (in the new document section)
click template (right hand cornor)
Insert you header and footer info
NOTE((( Template 1 should be the sheet name in the header)))
Click close in the right upper cornor and the save template dialog box

opens
and you name your templete and close the dialog box
Reopen File, New, On my computer
your template is right their but one more things change the right lower
cornor to document from Templete or you will be overwriting your template.
K-- Hope that helps

I have a template file which i create new documents with.
The template file has a header in it (business details).
When i create a new file using the template the new document opens up

(in
print layout view) but does not display the header.
To display the header i have to select the ViewHeader and Footer, then
close the header and footer tool box.
I would like to be able to create a new document from the template that
opens with the header already displayed .

Cheers.
