There's no built-in way to do this, but there is a workaround that my work
for you:
1. In your heading row, type "Table XX - Continued."
2. Create a text box or AutoShape (no line, white fill) to cover the "-
Continued" on the first page. In order to work, this "electronic whiteout"
must be anchored to a paragraph in the first nonheading row so it won't
repeat along with the headings.

I tried to find this question, but couldn't......
I have a table (word 2000) that is 2 pages, is there a way to have "Table
XX
- Continued" on the second page automatically?
I have put the caption as part of the table with heading rows repeat which
does not put continued and I also put the caption outside of the table
which
I have to type in continued on the second page. Do I use a special
"style" ?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks !
Jo
