Default How do I create a haff fold template for a funeral program?

Unfortunately, that's not what I meant at all. Word 2002 and above have a
"Book fold" option in Page Setup, as described. This automatically creates
the document in booklet layout while allowing the user to create the pages
in logical order (Word takes care of rearranging them for printing). This
does not require the printer driver to have a booklet creation feature. If
for any reason "Book fold" is not satisfactory, users can set "Multiple
pages" to "2 pages per sheet" in Page Setup, create the pages in logical
order, and then print them in the required order by entering the page
numbers in the Pages box in the Print dialog.

To elaborate on Suzanne's reply:
Set your page size to HalfPage, Portrait. Lay out each page of the program
in logical sequence (cover, inside left page, inside right page, back
cover). Then select the Book Fold and Duplex (two-sided) options for
printing.
If your printer does not do duplex, post back for instructions on manually
duplexing. We'll need to know if your printer stacks output first page or
last page on top.

Use "Book fold" or "Two pages per sheet" under "Multiple pages" on the
Margins tab of Page Setup.

I have Vista. I am trying to make this template in Word. I am using 8/12
by
11 paper and need to make a funeral program. I need it to fold haflway
down
the paper width-wise. It will have a front cover, an inside left panel,
inside right panel, and a poem and family thank-you on the back. I know
this
should not be difficult but I have been trying for two days and can't
seem to
figure it out. The Help button didn't help. and I cannot find an
existing
template in Word. I don't need any of the fancy design templates they
try to
sell. This is being printed on blank paper.

Thank you in advance.
