Default Saving a Word document as a Web Page

When you save a Word document as a Web Page, does it actually become
a Web page you can access on the internet?

No. It saves an HTML file (and, if the document contains pictures, it saves
a folder with files of the images) to the location you choose in the Save As
dialog. Then you have to copy the HTML file (and the folder of pictures if
it exists) to a web server. I assume you don't have your own web server, so
you need to sign up with a web hosting service.
