This is called a "hanging indent." You can apply it from the Format
Paragraph dialog or using the ruler
(http://word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting/UsingRulers.htm). If you apply
automatic numbering or bullets, the hanging indent is included
automatically, but it is generally a bad idea to do this using the Numbering
or Bullets buttons on the Formatting toolbar; it's better to apply numbered
or bulleted styles such as one of the List Number or List Bullet series,
which you can customize as required. For more on this, see
