thanks Beth, we have Word 2000 at the moment and have used Klaus' way of
removing/changing the author names. When we upgrade again we will be able to
use the faster way. thanks.

If you have Word 2002 or Word 2003 then go to Tools/Options/Security
and turn on "Remove personal information on save". This will remove
the author names. Note the Tracked Changes and Comments will still be
present in the file however they will be referenced as "Author"
instead of the individual author names.

I have a document that has been edited by a number of different users
(external and internal) with all changes highlighted using track
changes. I
want to email the document to someone but do not want them to see
the
different users who have edited the document (even when they have
screen tips
checked in view). Is there a way this can be done?
