To add to this... F3 still works for expanding AutoText entries (in fact, it
works for all Quick Parts and Building Blocks).
If Word 2007 "sees" your Word 2003 (or earlier) Normal.dot, then your
existing AutoText entries are added to Building Blocks gallery.
AutoComplete was turned off because with so many things in the BB gallery,
AutoComplete was getting activated for just about every other word you typed
in early betas (according to Microsoft).

It was impossible to find the AutoText or AutoComplete option in Word

beta.
AutoComplete is no longer there.
For AutoText, look for the "Quick Parts" button (under Insert) the click
on
the list icon to see the various possibilities. AutoText is one of them.
