Default Cannot open file because it is corrupt

Just in case you need to go down the File Recovery process - don't change *anything* on the USB stick - especially don't add any
files to it or change any others on it.

This is why we recommend never saving directly to removable media. Always save to the hard drive and COPY to the removable media -
there's a macro to facilitate that at http://www.gmayor.com/automatically_backup.htm .

Can you copy the file to your hard drive? If not you *may* be able to recover the file with file recovery software. If you can see

Hi sbr4tdy,

What file format - doc/docx? Is this on your HDD or a USB stick? Do you have backups - if not, why not?

Please - I am computer literate - just tell me how to get to the data -
outside word? outside microsoft - I can reformat it just don't want to lose
it all.....
