The solution, of course, is to restore the user's write permissions. A
legible error message would've saved me a lot of time tracking this
problem down. :-)

A very cryptic Unicode error message results. On one test machine, the
error message was several rows of boxes. On another (with better
Unicode support, I guess,) most of the boxes were replaced with
Kanji-looking characters. I'm not sure if it was Japanese, Chinese,
Korean, or what.

- it mentions MSO3081.acl. I have used Beth's advice to navigate to the
file, but it is not clicked read-only and all the permissions seem to be
OK.
Everytime I hit space bar or tab or any unusual symbol, this error message
comes up.

So.... therefore, after trying to work around this, autocorrect entries
work
only while I have Word open and when I close it and try to use those
entries
again, they do not work, nor are they there.
