Hi George

Before you do anything, I suggest you make a backup of both documents. Put
the backups in a safe place so you can retrieve them if (when?) something
goes wrong.

First, try comparing B with A, rather than comparing A with B. That might
make the result rather less messy.

Second, if you are only interested in the changes to the text, reject all
the formatting changes, so you are only comparing the differences in text,
not formatting. Or, if you have Word 2003, and you are doing Tools Compare
and Merge, then in that dialog box, un-tick the "Find formatting" box.

Hope this helps.

The case is the following:
There was two documents with the same text. And there was two users
working
in the same time on those two documents . But they done different changes.
The changes of the first user in the first document (including text
formatting) are all accepted. "Accept all changes". The changes of the
second
user in the second document (including text formatting) are NOT all
accepted.
So, when I do "Compare and Merge Documents..." the result it's very messy.
Is it possible to copy (or import) all "comments" and "change/delete
comments" from the second document in to the other?
