Default section break keeps changing from continuous to new section

If you want to email me the problem doc (or a portion of it exhibiting the
problem), I'll take a look.

Hi Suzanne,

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately that didn't fix it because I have not
got any footnotes or changes to page layout. I have the same layout in
other
parts of my document and the section break works fine. I think there must
be
something hidden that I can't see that is affecting the formatting.

If you have changed the paper size or orientation, then of course a Next

I have sections with continuous breaks between them. For some reason,
one
of
the sections puts in a next page break and I cannot change it to
continous -
using the page setup, layout section start drop down menu to change the
following section. I've tried the
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting...thSections.htm but I still
can't
figure why the section following has new page formatting becasue it is
not
added by me. Also this is in the middle of the document so not to do
with
the
final section break.
Can anyone help please because this is driving me crazy?
