Default Adding Delivery Point Barcode to Existing Label list

Well, they are still required for bulk mail discounts, but Word is not
capable of producing USPS-compliant bar codes and consequently has omitted
the feature from current versions. When you send ordinary first class mail,
your envelope or label is scanned and a bar code printed on the mail piece
by USPS equipment. There's no question the bar codes speed processing and
routing, but they're primarily valuable for bulk mail.

Thanks Suzanne, but whatever happened to the USPS "insisting" on
putting those codes on all mail! Maybe it really didn't speed things
up after all!!!!

Press Alt+F9 to see what the BARCODE field syntax is. If the list was
created by a mail merge, most likely the field will contain the actual
ZIP,
which you can edit. But note that the bar codes are noncompliant and
therefore superfluous.
