Default No Menu Bar in MS WORD 2007

Ok...then we are down to the registry steps.
See
http://www.helpdesk.umd.edu/topics/t...dows_2000/555/
for a pretty good general intro on how to use regedit
Here are the precise steps again that you have to follow:

1. Close Word and Outlook
2. Start / Run and type regedit
3. Navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\W ord\Data
4. Rename this key
5. Navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\W ord\Options
6. Rename this key
7. Restart Word

Ok.
The two files are in %appdata%\Microsoft\Templates (type that into
Start, Run)
Make sure to first close Outlook & Word and then you can move them to
the desktop e.g. (and later delete them).
Let me know if that works.

You can try deleting your Normal.dotm and Normal.dot file (or renaming
them to something else).
ONLY if that doesn't help, try the following:
1. Close Word and Outlook
2. Start / Run and type regedit
3. Navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\W ord\Data
4. Rename this key
5. Navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\W ord\Options
6. Rename this key
7. Restart Word

blank document, and the menu bar disappeared. ive tried opening a new
