Thank you for the response. However, when I attempt to click on Microsoft
Office 2003 Language Settings it ask for the installation CD, which
unfortunately was lost in a move. I do not remember installing any other
language and this problem started just a few days ago. I am not sure why this
requires CD when I have not had the CD for over a year now.

when I open a word document, I see a faded backward "L" shape in the upper
left hand corner of the document and an "L" shape in the upper right
corner.
The marks are repeated at the bottom of the page and on each subsequent
page.
