To add a line. Type three consecutive dashes "---" (without the quotes)
and press enter. In the header, do this following your last entry. In the
footer, do it before entering any other text.


That's a shortcut for adding a border *below* the current paragraph, so it
will work for the header but not for the footer unless you want an empty
paragraph in there also.
