Default Can two people open the same document and look at the same time?

It is also possible to use Track Changes and then review and Combine changes
into a single document. But it isn't possible for two people to edit the
same instance of a document simultaneously.

Hi Tanmara,

Look at, yes - Microsoft Word supports that. The second person to open the
document will simply get a warning message that the document is already
open, at which point, they can open it as read-only, get Word to notify
them when the other person closes the document, or cancel.

Editing - not really, although if the second person to access the document
concurrently (ie the read-only version) saves their edits using a
different filename, that is possible also. But then it's no longer the
same document.

Cheers
