I didn't explain very well in my original post, as all of our information is
listed on one exhibit page - the last page of the document - there are no
separate exhibit pages, they are only referenced in the document. But, if I
understand your second paragraph correctly, WORD will not create an Exhibit
page correctly for the Exhibit numbering without using the 01, 02, 03, etc.
Your post does help in that respect. This is the first time we have had this
type of problem arise. Using Index does correctly give the page numbers that
the reference to the exhibit appears on, but does list the numbers as stated
in my original post. Plus, the references listed after your post are great!
I really appreciate receiving those, as we did not know these legal info
sites existed. Thank you so much for your input.

Otherwise, format your numbers to include a leading 0 since Word sorts
numbers as characters and the number sorting you describe is correct for an
alphabetical (rather than numeric) sort.
