Anyone know about TOC formatting?
In article ,
d
says...
I want to fit a table of contents into the column of a table
The TOC has:
Heading........................................... .................................................. .................................................. .........................................Page
no
I would like to reduce the leading dots to fit the column but still incl
page numbers:
Heading........................................... .................................................. ...........Page
no
I find I can reduce the width after inserting the TOC by formattabs
but each time i refresh the TOC it resizes the leader
Any ideas????
Just thought - if i define a style with reduced tab widths and use this
style in the TOC??
who knows?
You soul not format the TOC after it is generated because the formatting
you apply will be lost when the TOC is regenerated, Rather, modify the
TOC styles (TOC1, TOC2, etc.) to get what you want.
