Default numbering a document line-by-line SKIPPING blank lines...

You follow the same advice I gave you before -- remove the extra paragraph
marks and replace them with either Space After in the preceding paragraph,
or Space Before in the following paragraph.

The basic fact is that if there are paragraph marks, they're going to
display line numbers. You can't change that.

If the use of extra paragraph marks is uniform -- that is, there is exactly
one blank paragraph after each nonblank paragraph, this process can be done
simply. First use the Edit Replace dialog; put ^p^p in the Find What box,
put just ^p in the Replace With box, and click the Replace All button. Then
modify the definition of the Normal style to have 12 pt in the Space After
box (assuming the font is 10 pt).

However, if the extra paragraph marks are sprinkled at random through the
document, you'll have to replace them manually.
