Default Why the Character O disappers

Thank you So Much. What you suggested works.

Your observation is correct: I hadn't noticed that before. It seems like a bug.
:-(

However, Word should "behave" if you use a bulleted (or numbered) style instead
of applying direct bullet (number) formatting via the Home tab. You can quickly
apply the List Bullet style by pressing Ctrl+Shift+L.

I tried your suggestion yet it did not solve it. Please try it on your end.

In the AutoCorrect dialog box, clear the option for "Automatic bulleted
lists"
on the AutoFormat As You Type tab. Actually you may want to clear most
options
under "Apply as you type."

To display the dialog box, click Office button | Word Options; in the
Proofing
category, click the AutoCorrect Options button (Word 2007).

Is there a setting to turn this off?

Word thinks you are using O as a bullet.

Hello,

When I type a sentence that starts with the letter O, then I click on
bullets or numbering, the letter O disappears. This happens in Word
2007
or
2010. What is happening?
