Default formatting of header

If you want this to be truly reliable, you should modify the Header style to
match your desired formatting.

Did you actually modify the Header style in the template or just change

the
formatting of the header? If you did not modify the style, do you have
"Automatically update document styles" checked in the Tools | Templates

and
Add-ins dialog?

I formmated just the header, and no, automatically update document
styles is not checked.

I was able to resolve it by revealing formatting, showing the header,
and then modifying the header paragraphs font & size.

The lightbulb in my head flickered on for a moment :-S
