How to open a word document from 1992 in Word 2007?
The developers of Office 2007 appear to think that older Word documents (e.g.
from 1992) will never again be opened. I get a security issue message that I am not allowed to open my own document from 1992 on my own computer. I am advised to change in the registry to fix that problem. What is this? |

See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922849/. It has nothing to do with what the developers think you want to do, it's a security hole they're trying to plug. As long as you only open your own old documents, that should not be an issue. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |
