micrsoft office pro
Does Office 2003 come with an Office Toolbar or not? I have a new work computer and it's nowhere to be found. I thought it was an anomily, but another new computer at work is the same way. Soooo, I downloaded a trial version of Office 2003 standard edition on my new home computer and there's no toolbar! Why? I've never heard of a standard edition before. My previous versions were home office (at home) and office pro (at work)... is that the problem that it's "standard"? Any Ideas about how to get that toolbar? TIA Practice safe eating. Always use condiments. |

There is no Toolbar in Office 2003. I have Office 2003 installed and then I
used my Office XP CD and did a custom install and installed the toolbar from XP. Works fine. "sf" wrote in message ... Does Office 2003 come with an Office Toolbar or not? There are various Office packages, with names that reflect the supplied
content, however Office 2003 (any version) does not include the Office Toolbar. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org sf wrote: Does Office 2003 come with an Office Toolbar or not? The Quick Launch toolbar has replaced the troublesome Office shortcut bar.
Just drag shortcuts to the QL bar. "sf" wrote: Does Office 2003 come with an Office Toolbar or not? I have a new work computer and it's nowhere to be found. You can even temporarily hide it if you don't like it on your screen permanently. Is it gone forever or just in 2003? Just drag shortcuts to the QL bar. Not sure that will set right with me. I knew I hated using the quicklaunch bar well before I discovered the Office shortcut bar option. Practice safe eating. Always use condiments. |

I hope it comes back after Office 2003. I have relied on the Office toobar
for a long time. I know of no problems associated with it. At least, I have never had any. Right now, I am using my Office XP CD to do a custom install and install just the Office XP toolbar into my Office 2003 program. Works fine. "sf" wrote in message ... There are different versions of Office Pro. You are probably using Office
2003 Professional if you can not install the Office toolbar. If you have an older Office Professional CD, such as you might have for Office XP Professional, you could install the toolbar from the older version of Office, which would be Office XP. Both Office XP Professional and Office 2003 Professional are Office Professional. The older one (XP) does have the toolbar; the newer version of Office Professional (2003) does not. Office Pro(fessional) is not a version; it's a SKU. Both Office 2003 and
Office XP come in Standard, Professional, and other packages. -- Suzanne S.
