Default When merging from excell, how do I keep $ and no decimal

I am trying to merge an Excell spreadsheet into Word. One of my columns, is
a computed figure title Total Contact. In Word, I want the number to be in
this format: $30,800. I can only get it to print in this format 30800.25.
How do I do this?
