two documents side by side?
Win XP Pro SP3 and Office 2003
I just got a widescreen monitor and have been looking forward to having two Word documents open side by side so that I could refer to one while I write the other. But I'm not having much success. When I open the two documents and resize them so that they fit next to each other, the text isn't reformatted and I have to use the horizontal scrollbar on each document to read to the end of each line - obviously, this is not what I'd hoped for :-) I see that I can open the documents horizontally, one on top and the other on bottom. Is this the only way to do what I want or is there a trick for opening them side by side without extensive use of the horizontal scrollbar? Thanks. Louise |
