just installed Office Professional 2003, is there anything in that bundle
that will give me a spanish word?

Teachers. If you look, I'm sure you can find it from a reliable source.

Note that the English version of Word 2003 includes Spanish proofing tools,
if that's all you need. To actually get controls (menus, toolbars, and other
UI) in Spanish, you have to get the multi-language user interface (MUI)
package, which is mucho expensive.
