How do I change the default tabs for all new documents in Word?
You can certainly change the setting for default tab stops in any template
(by opening it as a document). For example, you could open the Normal template (for instructions, see http://word.mvps.org/faqs/apperrors/...cnotblank.htm), and set the tab stops; the setting would then apply to new, blank documents created in Word. However, I would suggest that you create *custom* tab stops as needed. See http://word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting/SettingTabs.htm. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "New Word" wrote in message ... I'd like to change the tabs, make them the default for all NEW word docs I open. |
