Default Text to speach in word 2000

I am running word 2000 under windows xp professional. I have downloaded from
Microsoft the required files for the operating system ("MSReaderSetupUSA" and
"ReaderTTSInstallENG") and successfully installed them.

My question is: How do I get word 2000 to access and use the text to speach
option? This version of word does not have a speech option under the tools
menu.

Thanks for the information but this seems much to complicated for me. I
expected there to be a fairly simple solution. I couldn't even get word VBA
to accept the Microsoft Speech Object Library. I checked the relevent box,
clicked OK but it's not accepted.

I'll just not bother to try to get this working.

Thanks again.
