Default How do I stop Word from selecting the entire line when I click?

I have a new install of Word on a new machine with XP. For some reason, when
you click to the right of the last word on a line. It selects the entire line.

When you click on a line that has nothing on it, it seems to select one
space at the beginning of the line.

What is this weird behavior? How do I stop it?

This is symptomatic of having right-to-left support enabled.
