datasource (the details can be complicated but for many data source types you just need the file name). But you also need to take account of http://support.microsoft.com/kb/825765/en-us -- Peter Jamieson http://tips.pjmsn.me.uk "StephenW" wrote in message news Hi, Is it possible to save the Active Document as a Mail Merge Form Letter and then assign a datasource to it? I want to do this in VB Code. I've tried using the ActiveDocument.SaveAs with the FileFormat property set to wdFormLetters, but when I try to use the ActiveDocument.MailMerge object I get an error.
