A quick way that requires a bit of eyeballing is to just use EM dashes
CTRL+ALT+NUMPAD "-" to make the solid lines. |

Use the line tool on the Drawing toolbar to draw a line to the width you want it. You can also use the line style and line color tools on the toolbar to format the line as you like. Next insert a text box. Type the title inside and format it as desired, including centering it (Ctrl+E) and any font, size, and color changes. Right-click the edge of the text box, select Format Text Box, and set the line color dropdown to No Line. Leave the fill color as white. Position the text box in the middle of the line. The box's fill will cover the line. Adjust the width of the box so it's slightly wider than the text inside. Select the text box, then hold down Ctrl while clicking the line so they both become selected. Then right-click and select Grouping Group. This makes the line and the box one piece, which you can drag to the position you want. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org |
