cross reference to values in excel
Hi. I have a report in MS Word that gets updated on a regular basis. The
values in the document are obtained from an Excel spreadsheet. I would like to link the values quoted in the text to values in the spreadsheet, so that when these values are updated, the values in the word document can be updated also. Any ideas on how I could do this? I am doing it manually and I am sure there is a quicker way... Thanks. |

Copy the relevant part of the Excel sheet - edit paste special as a link
into Word. The format of the insertion depends on how you want the link to appear. While both the document and the sheet are open, any change made in the sheet will be immediately reflected in the document. Otherwise you need to update the fields in the document to reflect any changed data. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Robin wrote: Hi.
