How do you get the dollar signs to remain from a merge?
When merging information from an excel document to a word document, I am
losing the dollar sign and the cents if they end in "0." Any advice? |

You will need to add a formatting switch the field in the mail merge main
document. Press Alt+F9 to display the field codes { MERGEFIELD fieldname } and add \# "$,0.00;($,0.00)" inside the closing }, so that you have { MERGEFIELD fieldname \# "$,0.00;($,0.00)" } Press Alt+F9 again to toggle off the display of field codes. For more information on using formatting switches, see "Formatting Word fields with switches" on fellow MVP Graham Mayor's website at: http://www.gmayor.com/formatting_word_fields.htm -- Hope this helps. Please reply to the newsgroup unless you wish to avail yourself of my services on a paid consulting basis.
