Is it possible to insert a shortcut to a template document in the quick
access toolbar or the ribbon? Thanks.

Create a macro similar to

Sub CreateLetter()
Documents.Add Template:="D:\Word 2007 Templates\Letter.dotm", _
NewTemplate:=False, DocumentType:=0
End Sub

substituting the path to the template of the document you wish to create and
add the macro to the QAT
