Properties and group are grayed out on developer tab
I added the developer tab but the properties and group are grayed out. How
do I make them visible? |

It's possible that the Properties and Group buttons are grayed out because you don't have an object selected in your document. Here are the steps to make them visible:

Properties and group are grayed out on developer tab
The cursor needs to be in a Control box or Group in order to work.

Properties and group are grayed out on developer tab
You are most likely working in "compatibility mode". Save the file as docx
