Default how do I set corner marks for trimming paper (e.g. postcard)

These are the corner marks that a printer uses to trim copy that is smaller
than the paper size. They look like "L" and backwards and upsidedown "L". I
have seen them in Word documents received from others but haven't been able
to figure out how to create them, get them printed, etc.
