Hi Shell,
Did you create a field to hold your formula? You can do this by pressing Ctrl-F9 to create a pair of field braces (ie '{ }'), then typing your formula between them. If you've already typed the formula without putting it in a field, you can instead select the formula and press Ctrl-F9. When you're done, select the field and press F9 to get the formula to calculate the result. Cheers -- macropod [MVP - Microsoft Word] ------------------------- "shell" wrote in message ... Graham and macropod have addressed the two likely explanations, but note
that if you used Table | Formula, you don't need to create a field because Word does it for you. If that's what you did, then you can ignore macropod's advice (except as being helpful if you want to create your own fields manually) and go with Graham's (Alt+F9 to toggle the display). -- Suzanne S.
