naming documents automatically
Is it possible for a document name to automatically appear in the header or
footer in Word 2007? If I'm giving a document a different version name, can that version name automatically appear somewhere? -- Millie |

You can insert a FILENAME field in the header (or footer). Place the
insertion point at the desired location, and then click Insert tab | Quick Parts | Field. Locate FILENAME in the list, click it and choose the desired options. When you are done, click OK. Note that if you use Save As at some point, you may have to force an update of the field by switching to Print Preview and back to your current view. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Millie" wrote in message ...
