Word 2007
I am running Windows XP SP2 and MS Office 2007. Using the windows explorer
I locate and identify an MS Word (.doc or .docx) file that I want to open. I position my cursor over the icon for the file and left double click. There is a signficant, (sometimes up to 20 seconds) delay before the file opens. Can anyone tell me what is happening and how to eliminate this delay. I have turned off my virus protection so as to not complicate the issue, however the delay still occurs. |
