Default In Word, how do I share a custom menu and associated macros?

I have created a menu option with related macros. I need to share this with
my co-workers. I saved it in the normal.dot then I created a new template
with it. I had a co-worker try and Add the new template. That didn't work.
Neither the menu option or the associated macros were included. I have
followed all the Help I could find.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

You probably need to save the toolbar and macros in another template and
load it as an add-in (global template). See

See http://addbalance.com/word/movetotemplate.htm for step-by-step
instructions on moving / sharing / copying / backing-up customizations
including AutoText, AutoCorrect, keyboard assignments, toolbars, macros,
etc.
